PCamp Melbourne 2011 Ideas

Please host a session on ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the “My feedback” filter and select “My open ideas”.

If a similar idea already exists, you can vote and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can vote on it.

      • Do I own this product or do I manage it?

Balancing the need to be 'in the room' as the Product Owner, the go-to-guy for devs, BAs etc against the need to be out talking to users. Without cloning ourselves how can we be both of these things? Or should we not even try? Are we better off to split the roles?

            • How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?

As the classic Patti Page song goes, “how much is that doggie in the window?”. Perhaps the real lyrics should have been, “How much am I willing pay for that doggy in the window?”

Pricing strategy is one of the most difficult business decisions you will ever have to make. It doesn’t always have to be that difficult if you have a few tools up your sleeve to understand the burning needs of the customer.

Nick Coster, brainmates’ lead trainer and co-director, shares some tricks on how to price your product offering or service.

                    • Marketing Technical Products and Services to a Non-Technical Audience

Companies marketing technology-based products and services often focus on specific technical features while potential customers are looking for solutions to problems. This mismatch often causes confusion and missed opportunities.
